One day someone broke into her house and if I am not mistaken, he raped and finally killed her. All of this took about 20 minutes or so. The first police call came around this time as well. When police started their investigation, they noticed that people from across the building could have witnessed the crime and maybe help with the case. So they went about asking the habitants of the other building. Dozens of them reported that they did witness the crime. The police were flabbergasted. They asked each one of the residents why they didn’t call the police or do something as soon as they saw the crime taking place. All of them responded the same: they assumed that someone else was probably witnessing the whole thing and that they would call.
Talk about ignorance to the point of death. My friend, as Christians we cannot, should not be ignorant to WHAT it means to be a Christian. The contrary to do is called: hypocrisy. Living for God means living in integrity and not hypocrisy. The word ‘hypocrisy’ comes from the latin word ‘hypocrites’ which is where the word and meaning of ‘actor’ in English comes from. Your are playing a role. You are pretending. Make-belief. You are not real. As Christians, we cannot be ‘actors’. We have to know exactly what the calling on our life is and live up to those standards. God has called us to follow His commandments in love and tell others about Him. Jesus said that the most important commandment is to love God with all of your heart, mind, soul and strength. All of the other commandments can be summed up into this one commandment. Because if you love God, you would never murder, lie, cheat, be unfaithful etc. You would live a pleasing life for God and service other as well.
Other people look unto us as Christians. They expect us to be different. And when we fail, we send out a bad message concerning Christ and His whole ministry. We should be living holy and pure lives for God and thus represent His kingdom like a good ambassador should.
Please share this message with your friends and family and I pray that it was a blessing to you.
