These words you are about to read are true. They will be the best news you will ever hear in your life; seriously! There is no better news. And if you let it…this news will change your life.
Many people know that there was once a man named ‘Jesus’, who lived an extraordinary life that touched billions of people today. Even those that don’t believe in Him, as who He says He is, agree that He lived, and at the end of this extraordinary life, He was crucified and died. However, have you ever wondered the reason why…the reason behind the whole story? I assure you that the ‘why’ is more important than the ‘how’ or ‘when’.
The answer might seem simple, but remember, it can change you life. This verse explains it all: “For God so loved the earth that He gave His only son for whomsoever believe in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
The simple answer, my friend, is: Love. The whole story is a story of love.
Since people sinned, we were separated from God. However, God knew that He left us in that situation we would perish. God didn’t want that to happen. But He couldn’t just forgive the whole matter and disregard it. Imagine a judge letting a criminal go free while the evidence of his crimes are clear to everybody. Is this judge ‘just’? No. Therefore, even though God wanted to pardon us, someone had to pay the price…someone had to take the punishment for the crimes committed. God knew that if He punished us, we would never be able to pay back for all the wrong that we have committed. And that’s why, God sent His only son, who willingly came to earth. He thought people about God and healed the sick. However, since he started to gather a following, some in power became envious of Him and even more so when He made them face their sins.
Finally, He was betrayed by one of his own followers. He was wrongly triad and condemned to die horribly on a cross. Nobody came to His rescue. He died. All of this who believed in Him were heartbroken. Their teacher, healer, comforter, friend was dead. BUT their sorrow didn’t last, because on the third day after He died, He ROSE FROM THE DEAD. Yes. He actually rose from the dead. Not metaphorically, but supernaturally and literally rose from the dead. And He lives on till this day.
If you have read this far, I believe its probably because He is speaking to your heart right now. The short answer the question of ‘why’ is: Jesus died for you and for me…for all of us. It doesn’t who you are, or what you did. He was willing to give His life so that we can be saved. He paid the price and took all of the punishment on to Himself, because He is God and therefore, He could take all of it. Now the punishment is done and Jesus is offering you and me the chance to be pardoned from all of our sins and be saved. He wants to give you a new life.
I accepted Jesus into my heart when I was 18. My life wasn’t going so well and I know now that if God hadn’t saved me, I would be completely lost in darkness and purposelessness. He reached down into my pain and guilt, and pulled my out into the light. I will never forget that. He changed my life and gave me this ministry to share His message through music and I do it will all my heart.
If He did it for me, He can do it for you as well. He will not force you to come. You have to come freely. Let go of whatever is holding you back and accept Christ today into your heart. If you want to accept Jesus into your heart,
please repeat this prayer with me:
“Dear Jesus, I realise now that I have sinned against you. I have broken your law and deserve to be punished. I thank you with all of my heart that You sent Your only son to die for me on the cross even though I didn’t deserve it. I ask you today to forgive me of all of my sins, pardon me from all the wrong that I have done. I accept you into my heart as my Lord and Saviour. Please save me today and change my life for the better.”
If you have prayed that prayer honestly and with your whole heart, I want to congratulate you with all of my heart. This will be the greatest day of your life, I promise you that. I encourage you to find a good, bible-based church and please sent me an email or leave a comment about how God has touched you.
